I just found out there's a sequel to A Christmas Story. Ralphie and the Red Ryder BB gun ![:)]( "Smile :)")
TNT or TBS or one of those networks typically runs the original continuously Christmas Day, I usually have it on all day while the turkey is roasting. I've set up the sequel to record, I'm wondering if anyone here has seen it?

Reactions to these veggie burgers?
A couple of weeks ago, I felt I had to try out the Impossible Whopper. At $6.50, it was more expensive than the Whopper proper, and I could have had two grilled chicken sandwiches for $6. The taste was OK, but I would have preferred a Whopper. In looking up the nutritional information:

it seems that it has just as much saturated fat as the regular whopper, so I'm not sure I see the point from a health perspective. I guess it is...

Alone on Thanksgiving....
Just curious.... How many people spend Thanksgiving alone?
I had the option of going to 'Atlantis' this year with my sister's brood.... Not my ideal vacation.... so for the first time in my life, I will be alone for Thanksgiving. I have lied to my family and use my fictional 'other city' friends....
Not sure how I feel about the being alone part.... Holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas, hold little value for me.
Planning on being 'productive' on the actual day.... maybe go...

Not a real fan of violent (or semi-) films but with this cast and director I might have to make an exception. It sounds fascinating because it is the actors playing actual persons over several decades. It is also Scorsese's most expensive film to date.

What's your favorite pie?
An appropriate Thanksgiving topic. I usually bring the pies for Thanksgiving. One is always pumpkin, because that seems to be the family tradition. The other is a berry pie, because that's my favorite. I don't like mincemeat pies. Not too fond of pecan. Other ones I really like are key lime and peach. Apple's OK.

This Guy Lived In My Dorm As I Recollect
I was googling to see what an actor looked like. I mistyped the name initially and up popped a picture of this guy. I went to college with him. I think he lived in my dorm. If not, his girlfriend Brenda was in a few of my classes, and I knew him vaguely from that. I thought he was handsome in college. Look at him now as a man in his late 50's (although I'm not sure when the picture was taken). My memory is that he had dark red hair...
